Happy Mother's Day ✨

Celebrate with these Mother-owned Shopify Stores

Happy Mother’s Day! Celebrated in the US every second Sunday of May each year, Mother’s Day honors mothers and maternal figures. To celebrate, Fyresite has put together this list of top Shopify stores that are owned and operated by mothers.

Ade + Ayo come from the Yoruba words for ‘Crown’ and ‘Joy’, a nod to the pride and happiness that children give their parents. Created by a mother for mothers, this company sells clothing, accessories, and more goods that make the African aesthetic practical, modern, and affordable.

Temidayo, the mom behind the brand, says that Ade + Ayo was made to foster connections between children and African heritage. A portion of all proceeds go to charity, with a new organization being supported every quarter.

Singer, business owner, ambassador, and mother are just a few titles that Rihanna holds. A mother of soon-to-be 3, Rihanna uses Shopify to power her iconic beauty brand, Fenty Beauty. Since launching Fenty Beauty in September of 2017, her beauty empire has expanded to include Fenty Hair, Fenty Skin, and Fenty Fragrance.

Fenty Beauty takes advantage of a helpful feature - virtual services! It allows customers to shade match, try make-up on, and even get professional assistance, all from the comfort of home.

Pretty Presets & Actions was created by 2 moms who love to photograph, but didn’t love the amount of time that editing their photos took. That’s where this business came from. They sell presets for Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, streamlining the editing process to allow customers to spend less time editing and more time with their loved ones.

This business does more than just sell. They have a Facebook group with over 100k members, serving both professionals and hobbyists. They also offer occasional free classes on how to use these tools.

Partake Foods was created by one mother championing for food inclusivity. After her daughter was diagnosed with a number of food allergies, founder and CEO Denise Woodard saw a lack of accessible snacks available. 1 in 13 children in the US are affected by food allergies, and a lack of accessible, allergy-friendly snacks only worsens food insecurity.

All Partake Foods products are allergen free, specifically the big 9. These are peanuts, eggs, dairy, soy, tree nuts, sesame, fish, wheat, and shellfish. Those with allergies don’t have to sit out - they can enjoy the same treats as everyone else with this great brand.

Tattoos are all about self expression, and since children can’t get real ones, it makes temporary tattoos all the more appealing. Tattly was created by Tina Roth Eisenberg, a mother who was unhappy with the boring designs of existing temporary tattoos.

Tattly sells a variety of tattoos, from small tins to party packs. Even better, you can buy tattoos designed from real artists. Tattly isn’t just for kids anymore, it’s a great way for adults to test drive a tattoo without the life-long commitment.
